Throughout the years, patients have asked us a number of questions, some of which have come up quite often. Here are the answers to several of them. Of course, it's our desire that you will talk to us, in person, about any other questions or concerns you may have.



Q: How does Dr. Wright and his staff keep up-to-date on all of the current techniques and materials?


A: Dr. Wright strongly believes in life-long learning. He regularly attends continuing education courses and meetings on a variety of topics and provides similar opportunities for his staff. Additionally, he has served on the local and state committees of the Texas Dental Association  - allowing him to stay aware of the most up to date information in the dental community.



Q: Do you accept referrals?


A: Yes we do. In fact, the majority of our new patients are referred to us by existing patients. We’re always looking forward to providing the same excellent level of dentistry to new and existing patients!! When you recommend a family member, colleague, or friend to us, we believe it’s the highest compliment you can give us. Thank you!!



Q: Do you accept my insurance plan?


A: While Dr. Wright does not participate in any HMO plans, our team will do everything possible to help you maximize the benefits of your traditional dental insurance plan. Our financial policy allows us to provide you with the best treatment available and does not limit your health care to just what your plan covers. We will be happy to submit your insurance paperwork for you at the time of treatment. If you have any questions about your insurance that your employer cannot answer, please call our office.



Q: Can you show me what my smile can look like ahead of time with imaging software?


A: Yes we can. We believe it’s important for you to see what your smile can look like with restorative and cosmetic improvements before any treatment is performed. We want to "begin with the end in mind," so we use cosmetic imaging software to reveal what your new smile may look like.



Q: What payment options do you provide?


A: We accept all major credit cards and checks. We also provide low interest or no interest financing through Care Credit in which you may have 12 months of no-interest payments. Just ask, because we want to make your dental care affordable.



Q: What do I do if I have an emergency when the office is closed?


A: Dr. Wright is always available! Just call our office and you’ll be given instructions on how to reach him. 



Q: What precautions do you take to ensure patient safety?


A: We employ the most comprehensive dental sterilization program known today. In addition, all staff have completed training with an extensive monitoring program to provide a sterile and safe environment for patients. All procedures comply with guidelines established by the American Dental Association and the Centers for Disease Control to protect you from exposure to infectious diseases. You can be confident that we will never compromise when it comes to your health and safety.



Q: What makes you different than any other dental practice I can visit?


A: In addition to our experience and commitment to advances in dental education, the new patient exam distinguishes us from most dental practices. It is at the initial exam that we spend the time necessary to determine the state of your dental health so that we can make sound treatment recommendations. This also gives you the opportunity to get to know us better. One of our staff members will serve as your advocate---properly coordinating your future appointments and assuring your comfort while you are being cared for.



Q: I really don't like visiting the dentist. Is there anything you can do to help me relax?


A: If you’re a little nervous about going to the dentist, don’t worry because we’re well trained to handle your anxiety. Besides providing local anesthesia and conscious sedation (laughing gas), we also have the latest equipment providing treatment that is efficient and comfortable. Many patients are nervous because they don’t really understand what’s happening. In our office, that is not a problem, because we spend unrushed time with you, making sure you are always informed before we perform any dental procedure. We never treat a stranger.



Q: How can I successfully whiten my teeth?


A: Research has shown that teeth can be successfully whitened without any harm when done according to the directions of your dental professionals. The preferred method is with custom trays and whitening gel provided by our clinical assistants. This is also the most economical method and provides the least sensitivity. We have successfully whitened the teeth of hundreds of patients using the home teeth whitening method where dramatic changes can occur in three days. There are no over-the-counter products that achieve the kind of success provided by professional whitening.



Q: I want my front teeth to look better, but I don't want to wear braces. What would you recommend?


A: There are actually several options to consider, including direct bonding and all-porcelain restorations. In most cases porcelain veneers can be bonded to your teeth to change the color, correct the alignment, and create a beautiful natural smile.
